Turning over a new leaf

Since it’s the end of the month, as I’ve planned to, I am now moving to AB. I’m practically doing this on a whim as well, but in the back of my mind, I just want to move because of this really cool theme I’m using right now that I could never use with the WP domain (WordPress): its name is Chocolate Candy, and despite sharing it with Hinano, I really like the sober liveliness of this theme. It’s quite austere on one hand: it uses a dull, brown color; on the other hand, its design is very ebullient. I don’t know how I can put it, but the closest term I can use to describe this feeling is minimalist. It doesn’t have a lot of gaudy colors in this theme, and it strips beautiful design to the its simplest form – for me, anyway. If anyone knows of an art movement that could describe more aptly what this theme brings, kindly inform me with your comments. (Pointillism is a cool art movement.)

Although still vague and unformed (plasmic?) in my thoughts, I have thought of consistently blogging at least three series; note, however, that I won’t be doing the summaries if ever some other bloggers already have summaries of the episodes before they are even subbed, which is highly possible, considering the fact that people like Omni understand Japanese. Despite this, I’d gladly give my take on the episodes of the series that I’m blogging – I’ll probably present to the reader my insights or whatnot.

I made a promise that I will try to prevent on fanboying (on Honey and Clover) oftentimes in this new blog of mine. To further obviate this from happening, I will only have two main categories: Serious and Jocular or Light, whatever I like more. Underneath Serious will be all the extensive discussions, (pretentiously) academic dissections of anime episodes or simply some issue in the anime world I would like to address. News would also belong to this category, and although I will probably still mention Honey and Clover, I will try my best not to let this be the benchmark of my anime despite it being my favorite (as if that wasn’t obvious in my previous blog). Whenever I will fanboy, I’ll try my best to post underneath the other category.

Underneath these categories will be a lot of subcategories, but I’d like to condense them (I still haven’t found a way yet right now, but I will do so later on, but I think it will still be a division between the different anime I’ve seen and written about.)

I don’t plan to move the other posts of my blog at WP here, and that’s primarily because I want to turn over a new leaf as a blogger. Please comment, however, if you want me to move my previous blog over at WordPress to this new domain of mine – I truly value your comments and those will help me weigh on my judgments.

Oh, and how do you show Introduction to be underneath the Serious category, not beside it? I’m totally a n00b at WP, and the only thing I know other than its basic functions is how to post.

I’m not really keen on the theme, particularly as the sidebar disappears when you view an individual entry. It makes browsing other parts of the site a bit of a pain if you have just come from one of the aggragators.

Gee, thanks for your comments. I don’t know, but I really love this theme, to be entirely honest. It’s minimalist, and this serves as my purgation of all fanboy-ish rants of Honey and Clover and the more-than-necessary amount of idiocy I have had in that previous blog of mine. I really do want to turn over a new leaf, so from now on I hope that my posts will be much more than dull for the most part. 🙂

I dunno if this is just me but the background seems to hurt my eyes a little bit. All of the little candies kind of blend together and it makes it hard for me to concentrate on the writing in the center. I had poor eyesite though so that might be a factor.
