GARtender
After all the past serious posts, now is the time to have some fun. Did you ever hear of Bartender? (This post will get all reference-y, so kindly bear with me.) You may have heard of it from Cory over at Renegade Anime Blog who praises its beauty and intelligence. Not to offend him, but I’m going to make FUN of that series.
moe burger over at the ANO Podcast Blog commented about the bartender being a GARtender. I initially LOL’d at the statement, but it seems this isn’t an isolated commentary: people all over the Internet share this opinion (4chan), but really, taking care of an OLD MAN with a COOL DRINK: isn’t that PERVERSE? The innuendos are in abundance with this show. It’s so suggestive, but in reality they’re just TOO HARD GHEY for each other. Here’s one opinion of the show:

I CAN’T GET OVER THIS. JUST– OMG. IT HAD EVERYTHING. STILL ANIMATION, LOL OPENING, ZEN DULL BARTENDER OF DOOM, RANDOM WOMAN I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THE HELL SHE WAS THERE FOR, BAR!HATER PSYCHO, ICE BREAKING, RECIPES. OMG IT HAD RECIPES. THE ONLY THING I THOUGHT IT WAS LACKING… YES, SNAKES.

I am gay for the series more than the guy, although he is quite the intense lad.
I find it relaxing.

Seriously Mike, I think you take waaaaaay too much caffeine in your mornings. ^^;
I still find anime’s (or should I say, Japan’s) ability to make shows about the most mundane or the most unusual topics and either make or break said shows’ popularity. We’ve had bread, Chinese food, and ramen… and now we have alcoholic drinks.
Actually, everytime someone drinks something from that show and goes off into a whole minute-long rhetorical about how good the drink is and how the effect is produced, I can’t help but remember Kuroyanagi from Yakitate.
At least, no one gets disconfigured or explodes when they drink. Fortunately.

Well, I just had fun out of the innuendos. I don’t take away anything from Bartender, but it just seemed so GHEY.
