It depends on how the people write, and how they want to be perceived. I don’t care a shit on what mike really writes, but how extensive he gets on literature, ah, that’s one sight to behold. That’s one piece of crap I would give a damn about, basically because I write myself, and I’m still not that good when it comes to poetry and all that stuff. Sucks for prose people, huh…

hrmm, I rarely read any manga but I do watch anime and it takes me away from my reading of Philosophy books.

One thing I found is that reading serious books needs a special kind of attention. When I’m feeling particularly procrastinatory, I won’t be able to read well enough to warrant reading in the first place.

Of course, I might just be making excuses here

damn, yea, you should probably study. I said ultimatums, but I hate them. I rather like random moments of “beginning”… like Forest Gump’s jog. The summer anime season was the same, I didn’t expect to taste anything, but one night I just pulled up a couple episodes of something and it was on. Next night, another series, and so on. Spontaneity was a good motivator this past week. So there’s my take.

As for manga, IO has been a “to-read” for a couple years now, yet it hasn’t found it’s random moment. Manga is super enjoyable, and a great interlude to almost anything. Love it hard!

You just described (in a fashion befitting of your usual self) how most people are with manga. All in all it is a time-sucker and if anyone actually has “true free time” I will hunt them, stab them and force them to do SOMETHING because free time is not allowed. It’s not allowed until I get some.
