RyanA, Anja, and I have talked about subbing an anime series not many people have heard of yet; we pooled our resources and we decided to pick up Jewels. Jewels is an OVA about three vignettes: one is about a princess; the other is about a demon girl and her trusty dragon; and the last one is about a demon king. It has a wonderful mix of horror and comedy; it also has a wonderful aura of fantasy. Before I spoil the story, however, you should go and watch the HIGH QUALITY trailer! I may seem hypocritical for some people: I supposedly only bash Code Geass R2, yet I still watch it. For me, however, all is well. I do not lie when I write about the flaws that I see in the series: they are numerous, and in addition, I am not the only person who has noticed them. These flaws are not minor; on the contrary, a lot of people have observed the many unresolved plot threads, the funny non sequiturs, and in general the bullshit that has plagued the series. People as diverse as koda of Code Trainwreck to jp_zero of Japanophile Isle (among others) have perceived of this. I myself complain because it seems as if I’m being played around by Sunrise and its people, and I don’t like that.

I found this in the wee hours of early Monday morning, but I think it should prepare those people who no longer would want to be disappointed at the following weeks’ episodes. Whether this is correct or not is debatable and dubitable: read at your own risk.

I corrected the errors in spelling as regards the people, but I didn’t change the gist of the statement. Be forewarned: one shall be treading into spoiler territory. This was obtained from 2chan, and translated from some knowledgeable people to English. I had borne through the twenty-second episode yesterday with a jolly mood brought about by an inebriation to alcohol. In Code Geass R2, alcohol is always the answer. Of course I was disappointed: I believe most people were. So as not to be simply driven by the democratic feeling, however, I watched the episode once more. My general perception hadn’t changed: the episode remains to be full of bullshit, but at least it was another entertaining distraction.

This was my ‘Don’t tase me bro’ face.

I thought things were going to get better; I guess I was wrong. Excuse me, I’ll be getting a beer for myself.

It’s almost three in the morning, and I’m still awake: I just finished watching what some may call a ‘lost episode’ of Cowboy Bebop entitled The Song Remains the Same. It’s an episode adapted from the PS2 video game Cowboy Bebop: Serenade of Recollection.

Just reminiscing this series makes me sad, but in a very good way

Like any other fan of progressive technology, I downloaded Google Chrome to see what it looked like, and also to explore it. I found out that it was a good browser, although still incomparable to Firefox because it is new.

Did any of you read the EULA, however? (The EULA is the End User License Agreement, or, in other words, our binding agreement as users to the company providing the product.)

I hadn’t, either. But because of a heads-up from ptj_tsubasa I learned of a devious clause in Chrome: anything you write and type in Chrome is basically already owned by Google. Yes, I am not trolling.

Next time, I’m going to read the EULA, even if it’s from Google.

This is a ’summary’ post of R2 – 21. While I do not usually write summary posts, I have given in to the requests of a friend and promised her to write properly on the occurrences of this episode. While I am in doubt whether the post will come out decently (reasons can be seen later), I shall try my best to write smart and sharp reflections. In the end, it’s not actually a summary post.
