i recall joseph heller wrote “oh god” his take on king david. fun but useless.

i like reading, but i’ve come to realize that life is best spent in the study of God’s word in the bible and hard sciences. human biology is amazing.

You’d be surprised, but I believe I have pictures of similar nature by the same artist of that Tieria picture you posted. An artist who favours drawing Tieria as a woman also drew pictures of C.C. x Lelouch, and a picture of C.C. in Marina’s clothing. :3

I have only read The Cement Garden, but I found that novel quite a feat. It was well-written, succinct, and beautiful. I haven’t read his more recent novels, but people tell me these use more exposition and ostentation.

Writing is one of my most favorite hobbies; it’s one of my avocations. I’m hoping I could excel in it, that’s why The Hamlet will probably be one of the last novels I’ll be reading for this year, seeing that class has once again started and all.

I remember enjoying The Cement Garden a great deal a few years back, when I had to do Enduring Love for school. In general I prefer early/messed up McEwan. For me he’s gets a lot more visceral impact through stuff like Black Dogs and the short stories than in the big successful novels of recent years.
